One day the sun god wanted to visit the earth turned into a great white wolf. I wanted to see the wonders that everyone told about that planet. That same day the night god, the moon god, also wanted to visit her and also chose to transform into a wolf. In his case, in a big black wolf.
Both ran crossing valleys, rivers, forests, meadows and deserts. They did not leave any corner without seeing, because everything was new for their eyes.
The white wolf illuminated everything at every step. Wherever he crossed, the plants grew green, the flowers bloomed, the songs of the singing birds woke up and the seeds that remained stored in the earth sprouted.
The black wolf, on the other hand, brought darkness, cold and silence. It was subtle, stealthy and discreet. Life stopped in its tracks and everything sank into the deepest darkness.
The two wolves roamed the earth, but the black wolf, with his endless desire, had covered much more territory than the white one and a large part of the earth was already submerged in the darkest darkness.
One day, in the middle of a forest thick with moss and ancient fir trees, the two wolves met face to face. The earth is big but not so much that you never meet me.
The two looked at each other in the distance. With a slow walk they approached each other without haste, but without pause. Medio bosque was light. Medio bosque was noche cerrada. Like good wolves they marked their territory. They observed each other with their sharp senses and sniffed each other looking for their trace in the perfumed air. Both could measure their own strength and the strength of the other. They walked confidently, with their chests straight and their heads held high, towards each other, until their noses met and gently connected. At that moment they recognized themselves as equals. As part of a whole. And the two began to circle each other, half playing, half discovering themselves.
After a while of celebrating his encounter, the black wolf, tired of running so much, decided to rest for a while under a large fir tree. I had given everything to touch every piece of that land. The white wolf, on the other hand, got up, looked at him and said goodbye to the black wolf until his next meeting. Both knew that sooner or later they would meet again, and both knew that sooner or later the white would have to rest for a while and make way for the black, already recovered.
The white wolf followed his path, with his paws of light illuminating again the land that was now practically asleep.
And that’s how they’ve been doing it since the day this wheel started.
Meeting and re-encountering in this wolf dance.
In this dance of light and darkness where our soul also dances.
