About the documentary

Grounding, connecting with the living Earth

Aterrant is a documentary which makes the emerging worldview visible through some of its protagonists. People who give voice to another sensitivity and way of relating to the Earth. Thinking and understanding ourselves completely, interconnected, as fractals.

Grounding makes visible the fabric of a civilization that is once again amazed by the world and is ready to take responsibility for future generations by taking care of the vast body of the living Earth. Coming home, to the place that corresponds to us, as humans in a biodiverse world.

Vital paths that collectively inspire at this time of profound change.

CHAPTER ONE

Transforming the relationship with technology

Transforming our relationship with technology shows a dialogue that opens up between a craftsperson and the material when it is not reduced it to an object of consumption. Taking as a reference Ivan Illich and his thinking around conviviality, we give centre stage to the perception of the limits of the instrumentalization of reality and the ability to remain within what is socially just and ecologically possible.

Is it possible to have a form of technology that follows the rhythms of the Earth and generate spaces for human self-realization and the common good? And, how does a craftsperson find inspiration in their work?

Toni Medalla, ceramicist, accompanies us to explore the dilemma of technique, rhythms and appropriate measurement.

We’re working on this documentary

Over the past few years we have been filming material for a documentary, a weaving of collaborations and synergies with various people. It’s been a very enriching process and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.

Currently, we have the first chapter finished and by the fall of 2025 we hope to have the entire documentary to present.
