MODULE 1 · FIRE
Saturday 6 April, from 9.30 to 19h
Mas Franch, Sant Feliu de Pallerols (Garrotxa)
In the same way that alchemy aims for personal fulfillment, ceramics is also an art that simultaneously transforms the clay and the person who works with it , finding balance and harmony between the elements used: earth, water, air and fire.
- The earth is the solid and stable foundation on which the work is built. It is the element that connects us with materiality and physical manifestation.
- Water represents fluidity and adaptability. It is the element that connects us with our emotions and allows us to explore different artistic expressions.
- Air gives us the drying before entering the transmuting fire, symbolizing the space for inspiration and open mind. It is the element that connects us with the intellectual world and invites us to explore new ideas and perspectives.
- Fire represents transformation and transmutation. It is the alchemical element par excellence that turns raw clay into a solid and durable piece, “the Work”.
A workshop to enjoy creative processes, emotions, tempo and nature, and place ourselves in the “here and now” in company.

Toni Medalla
Ceramist from Montseny
Sculptor and ceramist, he has held numerous exhibitions and workshops, both in our country and abroad. An important milestone for his creative development was his stay in Japan (1992), where he came into contact with the principles of Zen aesthetics, the tea ceremony and the Raku ceramic technique, which he studied and consciously integrated into his vision of life and his work.
Raku, with its transformative magic, leads us to the origins, to the elemental, and in its creative process places us “here and now”.
